air to air
aa 5.5P
Certain areas within a dwelling such as sun rooms and buildings external to the main structure such as garages, offices or gyms have a different type of demand for heating and cooling.
The use of these areas is often sporadic. As a result heating these areas continually can be very inefficient.
The AA 5.5 is the perfect solution for these situations. The unit can be utilised to maintain a low set back temperature when the area is not in use and then heat or cool rapidly at the touch of a button.
The AA 5.5 is an extremely efficient solution for these types of applications with a SCOP (Seasonal COP) of 4.6 in average climate conditions.
operation
The AA 5.5 is designed with all the technological advances of the AWH V5+ air to water heat pump.
Like our air to water series the air to air unit, the AA5.5 air to air unit has LEN Start Technology, AVISA defrosting Cycle and Seamless Modulation.
-
In heating mode the outdoor unit transfers heat energy from the atmosphere to refrigerant gas 410A. This gas is compressed into a high temperature vapour and sent to the indoor unit.
-
The heated gas flows through the built in heat exchanger of the indoor unit.
-
A low noise modulating fan blows the air within the area across this heat exchanger, heating it and evenly dispersing it throughout the area.
-
The units cooling cycle is simply the reverse of the heating.
If an area requires a consistent temperature, the unit can be set in automatic mode when it will both heat and cool to maintain a constant temperature.
